Safeguarding

Our Lady's Catholic Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We are fully committed to ensuring that our consistent culture of safeguarding procedures effectively support families, children and staff at our school.

Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is defined  as:

  • Protecting children from maltreatment;
  • Preventing impairment of children's health or development;
  • Ensuring that children grow up in circumstances consistent with the provision of safe and effective care;
  • Taking action to enable all children to have the best outcomes.
