About Us
Welcome to Our Lady’s Catholic Primary School in Wellingborough. We are a warm and friendly Catholic Primary school for children aged 4-11 years. We are proud to be a part of the OLICAT Schools family, which consists of 10 Primary and 2 Secondary Schools in the Diocese of Northampton.
We are a safe and happy school that recognises each child is unique. Our talented and positive team of staff strive to ensure each child achieves their best, not just in their academic success but ensuring the needs of their mental, physical and spiritual wellbeing are met and supported throughout their educational journey with us.
We have very close links with our local Parish and our school building is on the same grounds as St Edmond Campion Church. 'Our Lady’s’ is a very special name for our school. Its significance is in the love and response of Mary, chosen by God to be a very special parent, the mother of Jesus and the ethos of our school is formed around our Mission Statement taken from the words of Jesus, “Love one another as I have loved you”
Our heritage is steeped in history and the school has been an important part of our local community since 1888! The Infant and Primary school opened in 1865 replacing the original Parish school and Our lady's Infant School opened in 1972 as a two-form entry school.
We are very fortunate to be surrounded by pleasant, open greenery and spacious grounds on the edge of Croyland Park and Swanspool Lake and Brook.
Many of our families also attend the privately run preschool provision onsite, Our Lady's Preschool, which is open for children aged 3 and 4 years. Please contact the preschool directly for admissions.
If you are looking to join our school, we invite you to book a call or visit to find out more by calling the School Office on 01933 224900. We look forward to welcoming you to Our Lady's Primary.
